Prices and terms

When we accept an assignment, we will generally send the client an assignment confirmation with information about the assignment, the responsible lawyer, which lawyers will carry out the assignment, and how our fees will be calculated and invoiced, etc.

As a rule, Advokatfirmaet Dehn invoices for time spent in accordance with the stated hourly rates, unless a fixed price has exceptionally been agreed. The minimum hourly unit is 0.25 hours. Any disbursements, e.g. travel expenses, court fees and other fees to the public sector will be added. We normally invoice on an ongoing basis once a month.

The hourly rate and fee will vary according to the expertise and experience of the lawyer performing the assignment and will also reflect factors such as the scope and complexity of the assignment, the need for special expertise, the values involved, time frames and results achieved.

For consumers, our recommended hourly rates are in the following ranges, including VAT:

• Associate, lawyer and partner: NOK 1,875 - 3,125
• Service employee, accountant and legal assistant: NOK 875 - 1,200

In the case of free legal aid, the fee will be treated in accordance with the public fee rate. For certain types of cases, legal aid costs may be covered by the client's insurance(s), with the exception of a fixed deductible. More detailed rules on insurance coverage and deductibles will be stated in the insurance policy/terms and conditions.
